Glass bedded, otherwise stock. A classic CRF from the New Haven factory. Only 20 rounds ever shot through the gun. This is a nice US made Model 70 except for two small blemishes on the stock (shown).

Other disclosures - I’ve only shot it with open sights but it seems to shoot quite well. I do think the action is a little sticky feeding the second round of a full magazine. I’m selling this, an un-fired Springfield M1A in .30-06, a single shot Cooper in .25-06, a New Haven Model 70 in .300 WSM and a couple scopes (will list soon) to fund either a .416 Rigby or .404 Jeffrey. For one, the Super Express was fully New Haven CT made, the newer "Safari" rifles are assembled in Portugal.

Well, for one, the Super Express has a "Monte Carlo" stock and the Express is a straight stock. You can see the difference looking at the rifle listed here versus the Express shown on Winchester's website:

Also, the rear sights are slightly different.

And the Super Express has a red recoil pad whereas the Express has a black "Decelerator" pad.

Way before. These were actually discontinued in 1998.

A little more info - I called Winchester today and the date of manufacture is 1995. @TOBY458 - a bit more than 9 lbs w/o scope or rings.

I've had this listed on GB for about 5 weeks. A few questions, a dozen or so watchers, but no bites. I've got $1350 in it, and I don't need to sell it so there is no reason to fire-sale it. But I've got several other large bores and I don't really need it. So I guess my question is whether this is one I will regret selling in 10 years? Thoughts? I’ve been thinking the same thing, but I would put a premium on a good US made Model 70 for nostalgia purposes. But that may be just me.

The fact that it has the old style trigger is a plus. I have a Safari Express 416 with the new trigger, and it is a very nice feeling trigger. But, on a DG gun, I'd rather have the old style if I could choose.

I've heard that new trigger is pretty good. Haven't shot one yet.

It is. Just has more moving parts than the old style. I have one in 30/06 as well, and they are both built as good or better than any Winchester I've ever owned before.
Your gun is worth more. Just a matter of finding the right buyer.
