I just got my hands on this brand new Ruger No1 7x57! Made in 2008, but unfired in the box. Added a Leupold 2-7×33 scope in stainless rings. Looks great! Now we'll see how she shoots.

Man that is a good looking rifle!

Pretty wood on that one!

Congrats on the addition!!

Pretty! Hope it shoots as good as it looks!

Congrats Toby458. That caliber has a lot of "African history" behind it. Will you be bringing it on the group hunt in July?

Beautiful rifle. I like the scope choice too. The rings.......?????? Did I mention it is a beautiful rifle?

I'd be interested in hearing what ammo you feed it. I just bought a Win M70 Super Grade in 7x57 and will be testing a bunch of different types and weights of factory ammo to see what it likes.

The rings are from a stainless Ruger 77/44 I have. They kind of look good on the No1 and kind of blend with the stainless falling block this rifle has.
I plan on trying 140 or 150 grain bullets to begin with. That should be perfect for whitetail deer and smaller PG in Africa.

Very nice! I did have one just like it, but when I got the .275 Rigby version I sold the 7mm, but I had it for years. It shot really well too and was not fussy.

Nice looking rifle Toby. I had a RSI but, couldn't get the scope back enough without extension rings, so sold it. I think your A will probably balance better than the RSI too.

The good thing about Leupold is the long eye relief. I could've came back even more with it than I did, but it's perfectly clear where it is now. But, I can see where a scope with little eye relief could be a problem in these rifles.

Congrats! A No.1 is on my wish list for sure

Great rifle in one of best medium game cartridges. Have had a number of 7x57's and they all shot very well indeed. 160 Woodleighs at 2700fps is good to go for just about everything the 7x57 is good for.

Hello,

I saw your post selling left hand rifles. Do you have any additional pics of the .416 Rem mag?

Thank you.
