Hi guys, like it says...i took this Remington 700 in 8mm Rem Mag in and it needs a home. Has a Nikon fixed 4 mounted on it and it has a big bag of brass and new Hornady dies with it! (The pen is to give you an idea of the amount of brass)

$695.00 and you pay the actual shipping. I can send the rifle to your FFL and ship the brass and dies to you direct.

Thanks for looking, Ornery.

Looks nice. PM inbound. I'll take it pending answers to my questions.

Good to know Dave. I'm looking forward to it's arrival. I've got a plains game hunt planned for next fall. I was planning on taking my 30-06. If this shoots as good as it looks, I think it will make the trip as well. Should be the ticket for zebra and wildebeest!

Hi Buddy used mine this year to cull everything from Springbok Mountain Reedbok , Blesbok Wildebeest ,Warthog - I culled about 50 animals with all but one dropping to the shot - one Springbok did a dead run ! At ranges between 150 and 300 m

Used relatively cheap Hornady 170 Gr softs - towards the upper limit of their published data - recovered 2 bullets will add them to this post when I get home - one from a Springbok shot front to rear - at 120m and one from a Wildebeest fr t bk @ 300 the rest were passthroughs without any massive meat damage - however the place I was culling has a relationship with a Cat breeding program - so bloodshot meat is not much of an issue for the cats ! all shots were heart lung ! You will love the 8mm check out ballisticstudies website - and get some of his bedding compound - that will save the stock if you are putting a lot of rounds through ........

I have on my travels added to my bullets - so have nearly everything in 8mm .323 so over the winter months going to be doing some load development .......... Woodleigh seem good as does Norma - everything from 150gr thru 250gr

Loading the 250gr to the same vel as my 318 - a little soft as I should be able to get 200/300 fps more .....however the ballistic table for the 318wr is burned in my brain forever !

@ornery, everything arrived today. It is better than I anticipated. Thank you for a fantastic deal!

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
