Hello Guys,

after 2 safaris in South Africa in summer 2013 and 2014 with Marie my ladyhunteress and my son, this summer, we change destination and the 2 of us head to the Australia Top End, for 3 weeks of vacation around Darwin and uluru, including a 5 day hunt of wild boars, and maybe a water buffalo for me. We will also fish during the hot hours of the day. We will be using the rifles of Darryl Bell, our Australian outfitter http://www.bighornsafari.com.au/, in 308 win or 270 win, and a Blaser R93 375 HH for the water buffalo.

We will keep you posted. Here is the first video of the planning (13 seconds):

Looking forward to the report!

That Aussie buff story should be a good one. Looking forward to it.

Looks like a good start.

Looking forward to the rest of the story.

All the best.

Calling Aborigines to the party.

Have a great trip. I look forward to the remainder of the story....

We are 2 months and 20 days before the trip. Physical training has begun. 2h30 walk with binocular around the neck, primos tripod+video head+camcorder on one hand and the 4stablestick mountain swing shooting stick on the other hand, hat and safari clothing. And wonderful rhododendron trees along the way.

Here is what we "pecked" today during our training walk: the great spotted woodpecker (Dendrocopos major).

11 km walking training last sunday, with nearly all the hunting gear (except I had forgotten my binoculars).

Here is what we met:

(15 secondes).

I managed to do some adjustments in the trouser belt, backpack belt, and PAST belt, thanks to this training!

As Mickael Jackson says in"This is it!": "This is why we do rehearsal"

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
