Good traditional safari jackets?

Regarding jackets, many places in RSA can get chilly in winter but make sure u can walk/stalk softly in the jacket and practise at the range with it, so if that shot comes it’s not going to affect your shot.

Personally I agree on foot wear before “how u look” it’s not a fashion show, you are going to put up some miles, two set of boots is preferred as every boots pressure point to your feet differs, (swapping them daily will lower the risk of an off day due to feet pains/blisters). I also like hunting in long sleeve olive green shirts as some khaki’s may be a bit bright in bush, the long sleeves make it easy to control your body heat without logging to much luggage through the bush and on the walk. The best is to pack regarding your area’s climate and hunting conditions as set out by outfitters as he knows the hunting method used and area.

I am speaking out of personal preference (thus the hunting method we use as well as our climate in our area).

Yes, why don’t u?? :A Thumbs Up:
(that’s our winter range btw)
Oh sorry, only saw now that’s the men’s outfit but sure u have more or less the same;)

Even if it is a two piece, we won’t judge

It's all good. You know, to an extent, I am trying not to care what PHs think of how I dress. I think the whole ensemble contributes to the experience. I'm picking up some Courteney boots (that I will definitely hike in before I go anywhere near Africa). Could be worse. I'm not going to wear breeches and a pith helmet ;)
Wore Courtneys for years til I discovered Cabelas boots that felt like slippers with cloud insoles! The difference between the sore feet at night and the nearly forgot to take them off before I showered is a huge difference when you're doing big mileage - for me at least!
Don't worry about what your PH thinks of your dress! He'll know whether you're a rookie or not when the first shot is fired! Be comfortable and dress for a early South Texas deer hunt!

@Royal27 , you don't get discount for two.....why not just rather do two hunts.....:A Banana::E Celebrate::K Love Eyes:

Changed my mind again... No leopard in Moz for me....

Zambia it is!!! ;)

Royal, I never took you for the canned hunting type of guy.

Look at the Fire Hose Field Jacket from Duluth trading company, it has lots of internal and external pockets and comes in OD Green and Dark Brown. I have worn their fire hose pants for years and nothing rips, cuts or punctures the 11.5 oz fire hose material. I will use both the pants and the field jacket on my PG safari next August.

@art, trying to picture how spike's maid will look in them.

:S Bs Flag:@spike.t ,
If that was your chalet girl you wouldn’t be on this site rather in the chalet!!!
I’ll have to be with TMS on this one, looks like you were in the bush to long….

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
