Love that Nyala !

Anton Dahlgren,

Your pictures are exceptional. Wouldn't it be great to let your photos speak for themselves instead of lobbying another site (that have AH members with virtually no posts here or who normally don't participate) you are a member of to get them to vote for you. Maybe I am just old fashion......or still soured from the last AH photo contest.

Maybe I am alone in my sentiments. Maybe it is cultural. I guess it is all within the rules. For some reason it just doesn't feel right though.

Possibly all the other contestants are doing the same. If so I apologize for singling you out.

Been a member on Africahunting for almost as long as here but only have made 20 posts or so. Anyway I entered a photo contest that they did and 2 out of total 9 photos are from me. Please vote for Picture 5 or 7 View attachment 39287

You need to be member since before today so no new members can vote.

Well if you feel like that and Jerome and the judges agrees with you they can disqualify my 2 photos.

I don't see it like you do I'm sorry to say.

Anton is within the rules and there is no problem. Some rules were put in place after last photo contest to correct what happened last time when lots of people joined at the last minute to vote in the contest. However everyone must realize that there are a lot of members on AH who are members on other forums. All members who have voted were members of AH within the timeline of the rules and many of them much longer than that. We also have to remember that people have free will, if asked to vote and they don't agree they will do as they wish. Please lets not make this contest about this as all of the finalists are there because they have great pictures!

All are great, but I'm going to vote for #2 hunting4sanity

Everyone, we are in the age of Social Media.
The whole basis of our interaction here on AH in the first place right.

If there were any Shenanigans (it is St Patricks Day, had to use that:K Irish:) going on J would be on it.

My vote is for picture #1 by Ardent.

(Honorable mention to photo #7 - a very close second in my eyes)

i was the first one to bitch about what happened in the last competition, but the way it has been handled this time with having to be a member prior, then i dont consider this to be out of order, as even if they dont appear often or at all they are still members prior to the cut off date, and as jerome said some for a long time. so lets enjoy the comp , and how about no more objections etc taking the shine off it..........and the dedication justin made to his wifes memory. :)

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
