It most certainly is! Super happy with it as it is lightweight, allows for a really low mount (lowest possible?) and it is not too ugly.

The Docter is a NV G which is a little larger than most Docters but still extremely lightweight

Great rifle and set up on the CZ, how do you find the scopes eye relief, as id be interested as i have just brought a leica 1-6 Fortus for my Sako Safari in 450 Rigby?

Yes it is a 3 point diamond which I purchased from a jeweler shop . It is very reflective particularly in poor light conditions . The other benefit for me is that I am profoundly colour blind . Red , green , yellow dots no good for me . The diamond front sight is brilliant for shooting in heavily wooded or jungle conditions. I am 67 years old and this really works well with express sights .

I have run an RMR, and a Leupold 1-5x on mine. I currently have the RMR on there, seems like the right thing to do with a stopping rifle

Sorry if this has been discussed, but I am not finding any threads discussing this. I am looking for some insights for those who have a 450 Rigby and running an LPO on it. It the recoil enough that you will have to worry about scope eye or worse, or is it manageable enough that this is not as bad a the 460 Weatherby, so you can run a scope, and not have to worry. I have a 450 getting built, and needing to make a decision on what optic, red dot to run, or stay with iron sights. Recoil is not something I get to worked up over generally once I take time with the rifle. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Haaaa. I was attributing the cramp to you. ;-). I just know how the brain cramps at times as it is a common occurrence with mine. You saw "Rigby" and ".450" in a ".450 Rigby" thread and missed the "NE" part. I could see my weary brain doing the same . . .

I don't have any issues with eye relief on my CZ.
I did however have a spacer added to the stock to give me the correct length of pull, which made a positive improvement eye relief as well as felt recoil.

Thanks, i had a cz safari magnum which felt a bit short,it was a euro made version. the Sako fells ok but could be a touch longer so ill get a leather slip for the butt made if needed.i was just worried i was over scoping it.

Since this thread started, I purchased a .450 Rigby that fits me perfectly. It has a Swarovski Z6i (non-EE) and no concern as set up.

I run an Aimpoint -no worries about being scoped by this- and a Trijacon 1.25-4X20 with a picket post reticle. 5' inches of eye relief helps. The green triangle certainly helps in low light.

I would personally opt for wide V backsights & an uncovered ivory bead foresight on any caliber larger than .416 bore. Nevertheless, I have seen quite a few .450 Rigby Rimless Magnum rifles over the years which come equipped with telescopic sights.
