Good Gun Deals This Week

Thank you @odonata. Been sitting on 100+ 458wm rounds I bought on here a while ago and now finally have a rifle to go with it.

Awesome! Glad I could help & I hope you enjoy it. I really have everything I need but I can't seem to break myself of the habit of drinking my morning coffee & perusing the listings to see if anything interesting has appeared. I never know when that elusive unicorn I've been searching for might pop up.

I really enjoy shooting my 458 Win Mag. Being a lefty I had trouble locating one so I made a project out of upsizing a Ruger 77 MkII. I've been plinking with some boxes of Hornady 500gr DGS Superformance someone was offloading in the classifieds as well.

The Mauser M12 Pure push fed rifle is not one that I am particularly familiar with since it didn't come in a left-hand model. But I knew the ones I had seen on EuroOptic were selling for $3,470. So when I saw this 30-06 with a Minox scope on GunBroker at half that price, I thought I would flag it in case anyone wanted to evaluate it.

I have two of these in 375H&H in their original factory configuration; which by comparison to the gun listed, means that mine still have their factory wooden stock and open sights. They are good quality rifles overall, and one of the best values on the market when it comes to an introductory-level safari rifle

Whoever removed the sights from this rifle and put it in a synthetic stock took away a lot of the utility and market value from the gun (in my opinion). It will take a bit of investment to have a gunsmith to replace the open sights, and to perform other potential improvements; and it's not a worthwhile proposition at that asking price. If I were in your shoes, the only way I would consider buying it as a starting platform would be at somewhere between 50-60% of that asking price.
I doubt anyone removed the open sights. The Express model has a barrel band swing swivel and open sights while other models do not. Stocks also differ.

Ran into this Ruger M77 Mark II in 375 HH this at my local gun store. Don’t know if this price is a good price or not but thought I would share. It looked to be in very good condition with nice walnut. It has a Leupold VX R 1.25-4x20 scope included. If you have been looking for one PM me for contact info where to find it

Looks like the same quality wood with a better shaped stock. A steal at less than $1600

I’d suggest it would be a good buy at $2900ish. So maybe a bit over. Imagine the dealer has some wiggle room.

Cabela's has a Dakota 76 in 416 Rigby for $4k. Read the description as there is a crack forming in the stock at the tang (that they don't provide a picture of).

Beautiful rifle, but I dislike the grain flow on the left side for something of this caliber. Right side flows through the grip as it should, but it’s like they cut the stock a bit sided and the left has a non-flowing circular pattern. May be the source of the crack…

Not sure if this is a “good deal” but I believe this is a similar rifle to the one carried by the late Val Kilmer in The Ghost and the Darkness. Sharp looking, and this vendor consistently takes some of the best pictures on Gun Broker IMO

It’s been rebarreled to 7x57 and isn’t the original 303 caliber but still a cool rifle.

Ya’ll really need to stop posting live auctions. On many forums this isn’t allowed and it’s considered bad form. Prices when posted aren’t the actual selling price, and the attention of the post commonly draws forum lurkers who drive the realized price higher for the individuals who spend countless hours searching auctions and websites like Gunbroker. Posting a sales ad from Guns International, Cabela’s, or a fixed price auction is vastly different.

Yeah dangit! I plan on bidding on that!

But it’s all good. That guy always hs incredibly nice guns and there’s a solid stable of people that bid his stuff up ja bit higher than it should be.

My bad! I bid on a different BSA 7x57 of his in the past and got beat out solidly. Good luck out there

That's a very nice looking rifle, but what causes the darkening on the rear of the stock like that? I have the same on my Remington 30 Express, and the local gun store owner thought it came from someone leaving a slip-on recoil pad on for too long.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
