Has anyone hunted with Jaco in Namibia in the caprivi strip for Cape Buffalo?

Are you talking about Kowas Safari and the Strauss family?

Several Jaco's across Southern Africa.

I've hunted with a couple Jaco's - going to need a bit more info.

That is Jacques Strauss of Kowas. He is to shelf for sure...
He does not go by "Jaco".

Yeah… we aren’t quite sure who or where you mean. Also, what area? Like by BwaBwata maybe or where? Several good operators there and plenty of Buffalo

Jaco van der Merwe from Namibia Safari Corporation? If so, he's a great outfitter and runs a wonderful operation. This is based on my plains game experience with him.

I know Jaco of Namibia safari corporation. Heckuva nice guy. Will be hunting with him in 2027.

All ribbing aside

I really do think he’s talking about “jaco” Strauss of Kowas

They have a nice caprivi spot - usually booked up few years out!

If we are taking bets, I’d think Game Trackers Africa since he’s a sponsor here.

Deal!

When DSC comes back to Texas I’ll buy you beer then :D Cheers: (y) Or Vice versa…

Hopefully we get to find out lol

Sorry dont live on this page but yes Jaco of namibia safari corp! Sounds like a great outfitter!!!

I’d prioritize the outfitters that actually hold Caprivi concessions over those buying occasional quota from other outfitters there.
Dang so I guess we call it a draw?

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
