375 H&H Optic

I've got a Trijicon 1-6. Sounds like you'd like more magnification, but I've been very pleased with the Trijicon glass.

This! I have one mounted on my AHR CZ-550 in 375 H&H, with Alaskan Arms mounts. I made my longest shot with this set up this year, on a quartering away Kudu, at a distance of 312 yards.

Wowser, that's a beautiful rig you have there!!

Hello all, I am looking for recommendations for a scope for my 375 H&H. The rifle is a Biesen, and it currently has 30mm rings on it. I’d like to reuse the rings. I am well versed in the popular current scopes, I own nightforce, zeiss, leupold, etc. what are you running on your 375 that is currently available? I want to get out to about 300 yards, so 6-8x is the most I’ll need.

Swaro 1-8x24mm in extra low rings. Don't reuse the rings, get the straight tube and the lowest possible sight picture to honor the iron sights and stock geometry of a Biesen rifle that is designed to point fast.

Thank you! Purchased this rifle from @degoins about 4 years ago. BTW, that is the original stock, and RJ Renner did his magic.

Why not reuse the existing 30mm rings for a 30 mm Z8i? Did OP state the height (I may have missed it)? I like the logic, but if existing rings are engraved etc, I would be willing to use them even if it was possible to get a little lower (for a straight 24mm tube).

I have a S&B Zenith 2.5-10 x 56 on my Blaser R8 .375 Bm gives that bit more for longer shots when needed without being to big and heavy.

I run two different scopes in qd tally rings. A Leupold 1-4ish and a Leupold 2-12.
90% of the time the 1- 4 Leupold is on it. It might be a 1-6. Can’t remember at the moment.

If you ever make it to STL I am happy to show you some meopta's. I have a half dozen of them
Thank you! I appreciate the offer, but it's fairly unlikely that I'll make it to STL in the remotely near future. I think the last time I was there was 30 years ago, but we never know where life will take us.

I currently have a Trijicon Accupoint 1-4 on my 550 .375. The fixed Warnes are being swapped out for Alaska Arms QDs. Excellent FOV, low profile turrets, and not too heavy. This one has the triangle post reticle, awesome like a red dot at low power, but precise enough to take longer shots on 4x.

You should try the S&B Exos. Your opinion may change. :-). Kidding, but I have both and keep going to the Exos for new rifles. Difficult to quantify the difference, but I do appreciate one--in favor of the Exos.
Thats what i had before z8 ....z8 is far superior in every way

On my Sako 85 Kodiak in caliber .375 H&H Mag has been Leupold VX-6 1-6x24 for 7 or 8 years. It was used in a variety of conditions. No problem at all.

Hello! I saw your post from last year about a missing crate from your hunt in Moz. I am curious how that all turned out? We (my fiancé and I) also hunted in Moz in 2024 and the trophies are being shipped with Hunters Services Limitada. We have some concerns on whether we will get the trophies home or not. May I ask who you hunted with?
