Then when the Republican mayor of a mid sized city decides not to enforce something like an emissions law or other left leaning policy you have to accept that it is appropriate for a democrat President to step in and take action.
Nobody’s going to worry to that degree about an administrative law versus criminal law and violence.

Shouldn't he be arrested..... :E Hmmm: thought there were warrants out from the ICC for putin

America is not a party to the ICC. They won’t allow their citizens to be brought before the court and I don’t think they would arrest and extradite an ICC warrant for a foreigner.

People like Netanyahu who has an ICC warrant and I believe Paul Kigami travel freely to America.

OK...wasn't too sure..thought I remembered something like that.....shame can't be selective......

As long as you’re willing to be intellectually consistent and not complain when the federal government takes over for local government to enforce a law you don’t like then I can respect your opinion.

That goes for pollution standards, vaccines, gun control, whatever you can think of.

What I don’t like is when people are all for local control until they disagree with what the local government is doing because they’re particularly leader is in the higher office.

We should be thankful that our leaders have kept us out of that corrupt vipers nest.

I’m not saying it is crime free I specifically said it has poor leadership and work to do. I’m saying as someone who walks the streets every day dystopian cesspool is an exaggeration. I feel much less safe in any number of other US cities.

Like many cities it is very localized. I know in Dallas half the murders occur in 3 zip codes. DC is similar.

Trust me I hate DC and that I have to live there so I’m not defending it. I just get tired of the over exaggeration by people on both sides of any issue.
yea , i get your point, Mexico is safe too , so is cape buff hunting, until its not or until it happens to a family member, guess Trump should have said cesspool in the following zip codes,.

This is where I differ I really hate the federalization of our legal system. I’m opposed to federal intervention even if it makes things safer. To me state and local governance is a bedrock of our system and federalization even for a good reason is a bad thing.
well look at it this way, DC is not a state, never has been, its a federal district , so why not have the federal / state guard do what the council cant or wont.

The NY Times has become a laughing stock. The old grey lady would prefer that Joe Biden was still in office. Talking a good game but in deeds Ignoring the Ukraine war?

They wish Joe was still not sending enough weapons, still having zero dialogue with Putin.

Reagan met with Russian leaders more than once. Reagan was told he was wrong many times and that Russia was playing the naïve actor.

We all know that Putin will have ridiculous demands. At this point. If we get a REAL cease fire while negotiations go on. It’s an early win.

Especially if you’re one of the next untrained soldiers being sent to the front.

If Trump gets a cease fire for round one. Then if during round two it’s apparent Putin isn’t giving anything then the 3rd party sanctions need to be instituted. Then Trump needs to walk away completely. As Reagan did.

I see only a few scenarios to get Putin to end the war.

1 ) He gets a chunk of Ukrainian real estate
2.) Trump and European allies put boots on the ground and chase the Russians back home
3.)A total blockade on Russia. Nothing goes in, nothing comes out.

Otherwise, Putin is just going to keep doing what Putin does.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?
