This is a rare Ruger American Rifle. This is the only American rifle ever factory produced by Ruger in 358 Winchester. This was from a run of less than 300 rifles made in a special run for Grice Gun Shop in I believe 2019. See the pic of the ad below. Gun is in very good to excellent condition with very low round count. This is NOT a re-barrel this is a Ruger Factory Gun and is therefore covered by their factory warranty. Very desirable gun and very accurate the little I shot it. Threaded barrel. Asking $1000 Shipped lower 48 or local in Central Indiana. Cross Posted. Make sure your FFL will receive from a non FFL. No sales to CA unless you can 100% guarantee your FFL will receive from a non FFL.

Trade interests would be a Browning BLR in short action caliber or Henry Long Ranger in 308 or 243

I don’t like to make extraneous comments in a want ad, but I grew up about 70 miles from Grice Gun shop. Got to know them during their fledgling years.
See “Scoot Grice”.
It’s wonderful to see that they got so big and mighty that they could coerce their own special run of a wonderful little caliber.

If that is the only factory Ruger in 358 Win.....I wonder what that ruger carbine sitting in my safe is? I will see if I can get a photo, had the box at one time. Yep it is a M77

"The only Ruger American" produced in that caliber. I also have a .358 Win in M77RS. It's the 18.5" barrel carbine with sights. 200 or less I'm told were produced like that because Ruger intended for them to be RSI models, but the barrel profile was too thick causing them to have restock them before shipping.

Ruger made other models in some limited runs and also made them in the 70s and 80s when 358 first came out in M77 and some others but the one I have is the Only Ruger American run made by Ruger.

Like i said Ruger American. Yes ruger made other runs in the M77 in 358 going all the way back to 70s and 80s. This is the only modern run of the Ruger American Series made

Correct. Just for clarity I was backing up your point to him that you weren't saying it was the only Ruger ever made in that caliber but rather the only Ruger American version in that caliber. Wasn't being snarky if it came off that way. Nice rifle and if I hadn't already gone on a buying Ruger buying spree of late I would add it to my collection.

No worries i understood and I appreciate it!

@ktk120
Someone is going to get a great rifle for 99% of game in the USA and plains game in Africa.
If anyone doubts it's ability in pg just ask @Rick HOlbert how effective it is loaded with 225gn Woodleigh rnsp at 2,520fps. Everything he shot fell down and never recovered a projectile even on a big Sable.
What's not to love about a baby Whelen in a great rifle.
Bob

Well Bob you talked me into it. KTK is a great guy to deal with.
@Flewis
All you need now is a tub of 748 and some nice 225gn Woodleigh rnsp or sierra 225gn btspgk. Both these are short bullets and allow you to stoke the baby Whelen up.
Read Paco Kelly article on the 358 and you will gain great insight into the 358.
Bob
You should never listen to me,
