What Quad Sticks Are You Using?

I have the 4 Stable sticks and just used them in RSA. My daughter also used them for the first time with no learning curve there.

Viperflex, built the best as far as I can tell

Gunstix

I purchased the Spatan Quad Sticks a few months ago and so far, like them. I have been using the Spatan bipod because I didn't want a bipod permanently attached to my rifles while hunting, so the quad sticks seemed like the logical choice since I have several adapters on different rifles. I like how the forend swivels and stays on the sticks while changing shooting positions, I also like the wide rear rest part where the butt of the rifle sets as my wrist is also supported on that flat spot. They take down small enough to pack in a suitcase or rifle case and don't weigh much as they are carbon fiber, they are very high quality. There is some Youtube videos on them that show how they perform in use.

Rudolph sticks.

This! I've used them in SA in two safaris. Made my longest shot on a Kudu at 312 yds away, I was rock solid. That reminds me that I need to get a replacement.

If you can get them Viperflex quad sticks are the best by far, I have used various other makes including Shockey tripod 4Stable quad sticks, they have all broken or failed

Viperflex are very strong and easily fold down for sitting shots - useful for longer shots and for getting under the bush

Also forgot to not that I simply took them apart and had them in my rifle case.

I think that all of the options being listed are good. I also have a set of the Primos Trigger sticks. That are also good, but the quad style is more stable for me. However, the trigger stocks are better in a blind.

Good luck on your adventure.

I used my PH's 4 Stable sticks when I hunted RSA. I bought a set to use when I hunt out west, because a bi pod is often not an option due to vegetation. I don't have any complaints with them.

I bought the 4-Lite Carbon Fiber Quad Sticks and never warmed to them. I found the adjustment knobs to be finicky and would slip sometimes when pressure was applied. They were also very difficult to get even on all four legs.

I sold them and picked up a set of Viper-Flex Pro To Go (3-section, all carbon fiber) and could not be happier. They are extremely stable and easy to set up. They have covered the holes so there is no more whistling in the wind. I added a string from the front V to the back, so they open to the desired length. They collapse to 36" assembled but can be taken apart to break down to 26". Here's a picture of them in a case.

do the gunstix fold down and can you use them seated?
Yes, here are some old photos I used before to show the different adjustable positions. Also an old photo to compare the size of bog pod, Gunstix, and 4 stable sticks. 4 stable are the easiest to carry and in one hand easily. I find viper flex very well made but also somewhat bulky similar to Gunstix.

Started with Mjoelnar Hunting, Fenris II aluminium quad sticks which were good however the flat fore rest let the rifle roll somewhat. Moved onto carbon fibre Blaser 2.0 quad sticks. With the forked rests they seem to be excellent.

Any will work but the Blaser sticks are the best.

Viper-Flex. Like em a lot, but pretty expensive for the carbon fiber version. Bought this brand since it's what my S. Texas outfitter/guide use (Nilgai hunt). They use the aluminum version.
