I have that old feeing that I get when I am about to ask a dumb question and it is not nice.
But I can't stop now, What would be a good lube to shoot a short spray into a Win 88 lever action?
Do you think that Hornady One Shot would be good/ok for lubing a Win 88 lever action? ( They are kinda bitch to disassemble and assemble.) Any suggestions? Thanks.

Definitely NOT Hornady One Shot !
Plenty of optimal products. Apart from the above maybe a lube containing a little Teflon also ?

I don’t understand what you’re lubbing up ? Or what one shot is?
We always used Lucas extreme duty gun oil on our M4’s & SAW
And now use Lucas 10006 gun oil on everything from my pigeon grade O/U , m70 & m94Winchester, S&W 915 , to everyone’s favorite auto loading shotgun I hunt with
Its pretty trustworthy IMO to prevent jam's in or salty places
Fluid film for exterior wipe down

Thanks to all for the timely answers, I will get some Balistol. I just ran out of gun oil and wanted something right away.

Definitely no on the Hornady One Shot.
Some people swear by Balistol, it’s a water soluble oil. Gets wet turns milky white.
I use CLP on mine and my wife’s levergun’s that we shoot in competition. The Real Avid brand also works very well.

Ditto on the CLP. That's what we used in the Coast Guard on our weapons in the salt air. But I would question the need or wisdom of shooting anything into a lever gun without taking it apart. What goes in...stays in?

Rem Oil if you need a spray lube. Just a good general lube - Mobile 1 in a needle oiler is handy on occasion.

Might want to look into Kroil if it is available where you live. Otherwise, Ballistol.

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested

Bought it earlier this year
