yes Rizzini. Heyms are one of the best made!!!I assume you're talking about the Rizzini?
Congrats are in order then!I sure hope they are. I picked one up from Chris Sells in 470 and is with JJ doing strip, clean, adjust, etc., when I stumbled upon that one referenced above. Figure some things things in Alaska should stay in Alaska, or at least try to keep them here. So went from never having owned a double, even shot many of them, to now having a pair. Ah, maybe thats why I see so many fine British guns sold in pairs. LOL
If I end up hating doubles, folks around here will not have seen the last of these.
I cannot recall any time I’d purchased a gun via Gunbroker or GunIntl and had it in hand the following day…likely part of living in Alaska though. More importantly, I cannot think of the last time I bought a gun and it proved so so so much nicer in person than the photos marketing it. And while I didn’t get a discount for the shipping saved, I did find an added surprise of brand new (unopened) dies, the spent brass from the 40-rounds he’d shot through the gun, 80 pieces of brass he’d purchased, 5 boxes of DGX/s bullets, and two boxes of factory ammo. So, happily accepted the gracious addition.![]()
Man, what a great purchase! Certainly does look much better with your pictures, but even as it appeared on GI (and without components etc) it was a deal. As received is awesome.I cannot recall any time I’d purchased a gun via Gunbroker or GunIntl and had it in hand the following day…likely part of living in Alaska though. Chalking this one up as a “Good Gun Deal” or at least my good deal this week.
Cheers,

Speaking of Cabela’s, buyer beware,,,,, son was looking for a WBY300 for his wife. I called around looking for one. Store said, ‘yea, we have one in SS, with a scope, looks good’. Ok, I make time, son and I jump in truck drive a hundred miles one way, to go look. The stainless barrel turned out to be a rusted barrel that was scotch brighted until is was kinda shiny, inside had rust pits. It did have a decent, usable Leupold scope on it but certainly they lied about what they had.I offered a bolt gun at my local Cabelas and the low ball price was beyond insulting. On another note, if a firearm has been there for some time, you can make an offer. My neighbor has done this with great success. Just need to check often and be patient, its a numbers game and they need turnover. Right about their offers, about 40% of value.
That sucks, but I would suspect that the person you spoke with was highly uninformed, but likely represented the rifle as what they genuinely perceived it to be. Dude probably did think it was stainless.Speaking of Cabela’s, buyer beware,,,,, son was looking for a WBY300 for his wife. I called around looking for one. Dude probably did think it was stainless.. Regarding the condition of the barrel, did you take your own borescope? Over the years I have been in Cabela’s for something else and stumbled across relatively good deals. At two different stores, I asked to borrow their bore scope, and after checking, I was told that both locations that they don’t have one!
