I just got back from an amazing free range buffalo hunt in South Africa. My wife and I hunted with Ernest Dyason and @Spear Safaris in the Greater Krueger area, where I was able to harvest 3 buffalo with my .500 NE double rifle (first for me with double) and my wife shot her first buffalo with a .375 H and H. All of these bulls were set 12 plus years old and we saw tons of buffalo. They ranged in size from right at 36 inches to a whopping 44.5 inch bull! If you are interested in hunting Greater Krueger or other countries like Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Botswana and the list goes on, get with Ernest you won't be disappointed. He is a sponsor here or pm me for his contact info. I will be posting pics of each buffalo in this thread.

Excellent genetics in that area and some old ones for sure. Well done. Which one is hers?

Here is hers, 1 shot to the heart I couldn't be more proud

Wow, some beautiful bulls taken, congrats to both of you.

It was my understanding that the LEGAT areas (Timabavati and Umabet etc ) around Kruger were limited to hunting "management type" old bulls 36" and under. And so far, the pictures corroborate this.
I'm interested in seeing the 44" stud. (y) (y)

yes had a 36, a 37, a 39 and 1 unlimited bull which was the 44.5 inch but for those they try to target at least 12 year olds.

well done sir
ernest is a solid guy and a really good operator

Beautiful drop on your bull and love the helmet on your wife’s bull. Congratulations!

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ
