Got it. You prefer your idiots more than their idiots. :ROFLMAO:
Here is the filter I use for my idiots...If I think they believe in and truly love America.....I tend to be more tolerant to Stupid. If I think they believe in law and order, secure borders, positives of economic benefits of capitalism, and are pro-life, believe in people being held accountable, I tend to put up with more stupidity. Don't care for antics like Boebert's display in theatre.....I suppose I support also because I agree with their voting support. I also understand the rational and logic in passing the Epstein business as there are other items of importance to address......I also understand the frustration of many of us that are fed up with lack of punishment. I do appreciate my idiots...both Republican and Democrat.

I would like to personally thank Mr Trump for creating this tariff fiasco, and now I have to pay and additional 25% to have my lovely new R8 imported to Canada.

I'm not tracking. They are made in Germany.

You should probably thank Carney, Ford, Trudeau, and a host of other Canadian political leaders while you’re at it…

They all have an immense amount of shit on their shoes…

While there are a lot of people south of your border that aren’t particularly happy with how the tariff game has played out, there are very few complaining about the status of the US economy… like or hate Trump, the stock market is booming and approaching a record high, many staple consumables are down in price, interest rates have started coming down, etc etc..

No politician in the US is going to take a hard negative approach to tariffs at this point… they’d look like a clown (other than the ones that are already notorious clowns)… all of the gloom, doom, and false prophecy about how Trump was going to collapse the US economy has proven this far to be unfounded…

Tariffs may well be harming the Canadian economy and the typical Canadian consumer… but most Americans at this point are fairly unimpacted… and are far more interested in arguing over illegal immigrants right now than whether or not our friends to the north are having to pay more for consumer goods…

I bought it from a Michigan retailer. Still a decent deal, but an added 25% is a bit to swallow. I had totally forgot about it until after I committed.

Yes, I’m well aware who all the players are. This was more a post lamenting how I miss being able to import a rifle for only the $200 export fee.

Wouldn’t that be Canadas tariff on good imported from the US that you’re getting hit with?

Completely hear you on that..

The import process here in the US and the fees associated with an individual importing are insane..

And that’s without any tariffs involved..

Yes it is, but they were retaliatory. But now @Red Leg has me thinking. If it’s German gun, coming through the US are the duties applicable. I’ll have to call the exporter.

Either way I’m looking forward to the rifle and half the people here tell me they are the greatest rifles ever made and the other half telling me that it’s going to jam at the slightest amount of dust or the bolt will blow out the back.

I make purchases from auctions and when I see the auction is in Europe- I move onto the next item. Regardless of price it just isn't worth all the hoops and fees involved.

If the western four provinces had a spine they would have seceded from Quebec/Ontario forty years ago.

Trump is the best thing to happen to Canada in several generations. Canada has wasted a lot of potential that is now being recognized. I hope this craziness keeps going until things really bed in here. Canada should be an enormously wealthy country. I am hopeful this will be the impetus to make that happen

Thanks @Red Leg ! I wouldn’t have thought of this

And they think the same about yours. So realize that no ones right and no ones wrong

I could not disagree more...

They are indeed wrong by every measure when using the U.S. Constitution as the measuring stick... Every single policy the "other side" has are ideologies which are either fantastical, nonsensical, financially non-feasible, or taken directly from the pages of the Communist Manifesto... Governance derived from emotion, hypocrisy, and anarchy is no governance at all... It's treason... So, realize that they are indeed wrong about almost everything not by my estimation, but according to our founding document...

For someone who had to endure the years of Trudeau's leadership, I figure you would have a more logical outlook on who's right or wrong!

People have different opinions on what they want to see in government policies and what’s important for their day to day lives. Just because I don’t agree with their views, it doesn’t make them any less valid. They’re entitled to them, and I’m entitled to mine.

This all or nothing bullshit mentality that the internet is so good at fostering but creating echo chambers for whatever you agree with will be the downfall of civilized societies. We are already seeing lifelong friendships and families torn apart by partisan politics.

Remember the days of walking a mile in someone else’s shoes?

Im going to disagree with you here...

"Democratic Socialists" and what they want for our country is not anything even remotely like what the founding fathers desired or envisioned fiscally or functionally..

Avowed communists (Mandami as an example) running on the democrat ticket.. and the D's gleefully accepting him as their partys candidate..

Social issues like DEI, how to deal with en masse illegal alien migration, little boys pissing in little girls bathrooms, men competing in womens sports, etc..

I would argue that the far left is very much wrong... and that the far left has far more influence over the left party at large than the center left does right now..
