Our trees are native, and some as much as 150 years old (perhaps 200 in a couple of cases). We did not lose any of ours, though we unfortunately gained a few from up river. Yes, we harvest every year as part of our "agri-business" which is a big deal in Texas with respect to property tax exemptions.
Thanks for sharing. We probably have 30 pecan trees that my great grandfather planted in 1931-32, harvest only for family and ourselves. Although we now have numerous new growth trees scattered throughout the ranch as well as the county due to crows. Lovely shade.

I did a little over 27 years in the USAF. For those of us who served, we know how the government worked. To think they would be capable of dreaming up any of these conspiracies and actually getting them to work is laughable. As is shown almost daily they are unable to keep a secret with each side rushing to spew their BS to hopefully make the other side look bad.
well,
the f117 was a pretty well kept secret, just saying...

That’s a relatively small pool of designers, engineers, and manufacturers though and based on Wikipedia they only kept it secret for about ten years. Which isn’t bad but for something like the suggested 9/11 conspiracy that would require a large number of people for both the implementation, the subsequent cover up, and then maintaining the cover up over the last 24 years, I just don’t think it’s possible.

I also think it’s far easier to hide something that nobody is aware of and also has an expiration date on the reveal (hard to hide the bomber once it’s being used) than something that’s out there in the public consciousness and that people are actively trying to learn about and then to also maintain that secret indefinitely.

There’s also the issue of morals. Designing and hiding a bomber probably doesn’t keep many engineers up at night over the moral implications as it has a legitimate defensive purpose. OTOH, if there was a conspiracy to bomb the World Trade Center or kill JFK, I have trouble believing that every single person out of the dozens, hundreds, or potentially more, who knew what happened would be okay hiding that secret, forever.

The aircraft was declared operational in 1983 and Clancy's book "Red Storm Rising" which debuted the F-19 with all the attributes of the F-117 was published in 1986. He had excellent contacts throughout DOD. DOD acknowledged the program in 1988, but virtually nothing was known publicly about it until the Gulf War in 1990.

I consider the conspiracy nuts pandering 911 nonsense as some of the worst of the worst. Patriotic servicemen have no problem protecting the military and intelligence secrets of this country. But hiding the participation of hundreds - perhaps thousands of co-conspirators in something like a 911 or the Apollo landings are the realm of absolute fantasy.

I had left out Apollo since I feel it’s in a different league from 9/11 but it does have a few similarities as far as difficulty maintaining the conspiracy would have.

11 of the 12 men who walked on the moon had military backgrounds. Eleven had been Boy Scouts with two being Eagle Scouts. Not a group for which lying would be natural.

Of course, honorable men can lie for a noble cause but was this cause noble enough? Perhaps some bigwig comes and says, “we need to fake a moon landing in order to beat the russkies and win the Cold War.” Okay, let’s say they all agree to it to save America from communism and that’s their sacrifice, a little honor traded for victory.

Fast forward to 1992 and the Cold War ends. Somehow, miraculously, everyone involved in Apollo, from the scientists to the astronauts, to the key grip on the set where they filmed it, had kept their mouths closed and even tricked the Russians into acknowledging that the moon landing was real.

Why keep it up at that point? Surely after all this time someone would spill the beans. Four of the twelve astronauts are still alive today. There have been no death bed confessions, no tell all cash grabs, no leaks in a catholic confession booth.

And this is not 9/11 we’re talking about. Nobody involved will face a tribunal for mass murder. Yet everyone involved in Apollo, to a man, from the top to the bottom, is proud to have been part of it and the Russians, who had the best motive (then and now) and the smarts to disprove an American moon landing acknowledge it, to this day!

It just doesn’t work on any level.

What gives you that idea?
Her record on the whole Epstein thing. She made claims that put the administration in a tough spot. Legitimatizing concerns of a coverup. Said she has the list on her desk. Among other things. Claims that other pertinent figures in the admin did not make

That’s what my train of thought is, did she have the list on her desk or was that a lie? Easy yes or no. She’s lost whatever credibility she had as far as I’m concerned.

Or she is doing a good job of protecting the President.
