My 10 year old son and I just finished our second safari in South Africa with our PH Poena. With this being our second trip we decided to split our trip into two areas the Karoo Desert in Northern Cape and Limpopo.

Hunt day 1 in Karoo:

I got my full Springbok Slam and my son got a copper springbok and a black wildebeest. All of our day 1 animals were SCI gold.

Poena was a great PH and an awesome host. His wife Stephanie was also a great help and capture some of our hunt live action on camera for us.

I would recommend going to Poena as a PH and an outfitter. Feel free to message me for his contact info.

Looks like a fun filled trip, congratulations!

I'm taking my daughter to hunt with Numzaan in just over a week. Hope she has as much fun as your son looks to have had.

Congratulations on your family hunt.
Thanks for sharing your hunt with us.

Awesome. We did a family vacation over spring break last year where my son, daughter, and wife came. It was a great time for everyone.

Who is your PH at Numzaan?

That first springbok and the black Impala are giants…

What a great trip to share with your son.

I have hunted with Numzaan twice times over the last 5 years and consider them like family. I hunt with Danie and call him brother. If anyone needs a reference i would be happy to talk.
Quality outfit all around

A great hunt with very nice trophies.

Congrats to the father and son team !

Jaco's brother Hano is my PH. Jaco and his wife live here in Texas, so the brother has to keep up with me.

Congratz on a fine safari with your son. It is very nice to see young hunters in the field with their families.

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
