Nothing was reversed in my pictures. It looks different because I wear the buckle in the back to keep it out of the way. Hopefully this will help it make sense.

8 round Murray slide, 5 softs, 3 solids, solids have marked primer, 3 softs in the rifle. This year I'm going to try carrying Leica 8x32 in an Eberlestock bino pouch on my belt, I hate binos bouncing around. I don't usually carry a knife but will this year as I found one that fits the purpose, White River Knives Ursus Cub in the leather multiple angle sheath by Smith & Sons.

I just completed making 2 new leather ammo pouches to replace the 2 pouches I gave my PH at Settlers Safaris.

The new 458WM pouch has two pockets and holds 22 rounds: 11 solids in one pocket and 11 softs in the other pocket.

The new 30-06 pouch is the same 4 pocket design with 4 rounds in each pocket.

As some have already stated, I am using only Barnes TSX for Buffalo. So no solids in the pouch...
I have 4 in the rifle and another 7 in the pouch.

There is a superstition in Austria that you should only carry an odd number of bullets and of course never 13...

But there is more ammo in the backpack lying in the car... (an odd amount of course )

458 (and 45-70 and similar size cartridgs) pouch

30-06 (and similar size cartridges) pouch.

340 Weatherby Mag ammo in 30-06 pouch. I'm making another larger similar pouch that will hold five 340WbyMag per pocket.

The 30-06 cartridges fit snuggly in the pockets with or without being on a belt worn around the waist.

The 458 cartridges are slightly looser in the pouch when the pouch is not worn on a belt.

The finishing touch to each pouch will be to round the flap corners or beavertail the closer flap......just for asthetic character.
