I have to go to LA tomorrow and work as security for my partner. Moved it to 6AM due to planned "No King..." demonstrations. Area marked in blue is where I am going, and areas in red are the demonstration areas. Not pleased, as I was planning on doing other stuff instead of being an armed guard. This is one of these short clips that speak volumes. This was widely posted on various on line channels today. It shows an Iranian ADA battery attempting to engage Israeli aircraft. Though short in duration it eloquently speaks to the difference between late twentieth century air defense and twenty-first century attack aircraft. Note the missiles are spoofed, both their command guidance and organic targeting systems are unable to acquire the target. Because it is a daylight engagement, the target is indeed likely an F-35.

If I’m reading this correctly, the thought of using a well placed 6.5 CM round might not be effective.

I seem to recall during one of the gulf wars, the US developed an interesting bunker buster in relatively short order. A barrel off of a battleship was used, filled with explosives and bolted on some fins and guidance.

First, none of the last three Democrat Presidents served. Clinton actively evaded the draft and Lord only knows how Biden evaded. I know that Trump had a medical deferment.

Second, I guess you haven't listened to his speech. Even this Marine likes what he has said. Two of my sons were Soldiers and they both loved it. The planning for this started over 2 years ago and the money spent was from a past budget.

Third, after I retired from the Marine Corps, I have been a government civil service employee keeping Coast Guard aircraft flying and there are more government employees doing nothing than there are working. We could dump 40% of the government workers and there would be no impact but an increase in efficiency.

A guest on WBAP radio was an Iranian naturalized to the US in the 1980's. His take on things--he was happy that Israel with US sanction attacked. He said that almost 90% of the country would join a revolt to oust the current regime if backed by the US! That Obama squandered the opportunity to help the youth of Iran during his terms and instead provided "cash on the tarmac" to keep the regime afloat (while also funding proxy wars unfortunately ).
Could it be that the best strategy is to aid an overthrow?
