May of 2024 I hunted a Blackbuck and and Axis deer with @MG Hunting and @ROCKET in Argentina. My hunt report is below...

A couple weeks ago I heard from Rocket via Whatsapp and Manuel at MG Hunting via email that my trophies had been delivered to the exporter and that the exporter would be contacting me shortly for shipping information.

Last week the exporter, Alfedo Perez Co (AP), contacted me via email and confirmed that my trophies have been delivered to their warehouse and are going through the government permitting process for export.

AP said to expect 6 months time for the permits to be issued before shipment.....

The email that AP sent had been picked up in my SPAM box, so it took me a few days before I discovered it and responded....

My import destination will be the Port of Seattle and I will use Vantage Point Services to clear the trophies and forward them on on to my home address...

I will update this thread as the process moves forward. Super Excited!

:D Beers:

I provided AP Co with the necessary authorization letter and a copy of my passport this morning...

Process is moving along

I paid AP for the first step in the Argentina export process today....

This invoice covers expenses for "treatment of the trophies, obtaining documentation, Fish&Wildlife, international SENASA (CVI), dip & pack and crate.

Once the certificate from "Ministry of Fauna" (Fish&Wildlife) is obtained there will be a second invoice for International shipping.... (from Argentina to Seattle)....

Seems as though Alfredo Perez is a very good operator, thanks for sharing.

Email from AP today...

We have received your full payment for the export of your trophies.

To finalize your application, we will copy Romina, who will be responsible
for continuing the process.

Once we obtain the SENASA certificate, we will be able to secure an air
reservation. Throughout the process, we will work with your broker and keep
you informed so you can receive the trophies correctly and as quickly as
possible.

We thank you for your trust in AP Company, and we remain in contact.

Best regards.

Is this only the shipping, and dip and pack ?no taxidermy work? In total almost 3k?

It's going to cost me almost the same $ as my last trophy shipment from Namibia last year

That is what I was getting at. Is this because Argentina is more expensive or no competition. What's up with that?

I dunno…
I am just happy that trophies are moving again after the cluster last year. Which I am sure has something to do with the costs….

Received this request today from AP.

Good thing I had not deleted flight confirmation emails from last year.....

I was there with @MG Hunting March 2024 and did not hear anything about my trophies yet.
On a side note shipping charges are ridiculously expensive and feels like shipper is taking advantage of the whole situation.
Least to say I'm not happy.

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!
