The older the animals get the more hair they loose. A bit like us really.
The skin starts to show and gives them a whiteish appearance. This is one of the tell tale signs of an older animal. The ultimate trophy is a bald scrum cap bull ie no horns or hair!

Thank you for the question. He was in a group of five duggaboys. I shot the one on the right first and then the one on the left which is the one I posted earlier. This picture is after they were hosed off and their faces appear darker. Here is the other one just after the shot:
View attachment 691285But the craziest thing to happen is the face swelling this bull experienced after death. Here is a pic I snapped upon our return to load the bulls. I'm not sure what caused this except for maybe blood pooling.
