ZIMBABWE: 10 Day Non-Trophy Buffalo Hunt

Great bulls. Congrats

What a hunt! Beautiful bulls, @Aussie_Hunter ! Very nice rifle you have there as well. By the pictures of those bullets, they definitely did their job correctly! Have you ever weighed them for a retention percentage? guessing 85%+ at least. Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic! As others have said, the number of inches does not make the hunt better (IMHO). It's about effort, the group you are with, the scenery, etc.

A hunt like this would be very high up on my list for '26

I didn't get to weigh the recovered 500 Jeffery projectiles I left them with the PH and apprentice to add to their collections, but I have weighed recovered Woodleigh projectiles from many other calibres and they are always around 85-95%

That's great, since I don't measure any animals I take. I judge the trophy by the adventure behind it. I may reach out to you one of these days and ask you some questions. Thank you for your reply.
This is the proper way to assess a trophy. Inches don’t matter.

Not sure your price range. Have a 375 H&H with a muzzle brake. Nice rifle only fired a few times. Also a Mossberg 375 Ruger its been used and shows a few hunts on it.
Two African Safaris Hunted South Africa both times,
9 game animals taken
Has anybody hunted with Phumba safari in steenbokpan south Africa?
