And now for something completely different……

If you look closely you can see that dude shouting "Leeeeroy Jenkins!!!!"
Dude, this comment definitely wins the interwebs for the week, maybe even the year! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

That ad doesn’t even make sense…Q, which is actually a respectable company in other markets doesn’t have any products marketable for Africa. The “Fix” isn’t chambered in anything close to a DG cartridge. It’s the wrong magazine…the wrong market…the wrong gun…no purpose at all in that ad.

By the way, the Fix rifle was somewhat featured in new movie The Accountant 2 with Ben Affleck. The bad guy has one and supposedly can shoot it faster than the ARs in the movie with no movement of the shooter’s hand and no sound. None of it makes sense.

I fully agree with you, but They have marketing videos hunting several Cape buffalo with 8.6 Blackout trying to convince people it is.

A dose of reality.

I haven’t seen it until now. Just doesn’t make any sense but what do I know about anything…8.6 Blackout…first I’ve heard of it. I feel enlightened.

Yea that always cracks me up. Super serious gamers computing the odds and that guy just runs in like that. I’m still laughing.

Nothing screams sporting classic to me more than a space aged rifle shooting a sub par round at a buffalo.
Give me a 375 or .416 and I’m in!

That model with the rifle isn’t vaulting. That’s him getting tossed up into the air by a Cape buffalo when old African Black Death has finally had enough of the model’s new tacti-cool toy…

But tactically tossed right?

Google the rifle and read the reviews from the tacticool crowd.

Complaints I’ve seen from them:
It’s too light I don’t need a sub 14 pound rifle.

Bolt handles too small not tactical.

Not enough room for attaching accessories.

These guys really look at guns in a way I don’t understand.

Ladies and gentlemen you want to know how big a kick up the ass you will get from your PH? Bring a gun like this to Africa for DG…….sometimes I guess the tips just not worth it eh:LOL:

But tactically tossed right?
I swear… my eldest grandson hunts doves with this kid (probably mid twenties age), 400 pounds weight and completely bitten by the “Tacti-Cool” bug. You should really see him someday. Always dresses in black “Tactical” fatigues, wears a black “Tactical” vest (fitted with ceramic plates that he’s had his mom sewn in), wears a black “Tactical” cap and black “Tactical” sunglasses (even at night). Always carries a huge “Rambo” style survival knife with saw teeth & a blood groove. He uses a 12 gauge 3.5” Magnum Benelli M4 fitted with enough “Tactical” accessories to weigh the whole thing down & use it as a boat anchor (including a flashlight even though he’s hunting the doves in broad daylight). He comes to hunt doves on my property with Federal Premium Grand Slam 2 ounce copper plated #6 shot. Ironically, he seldom manages to hit anything. But when he does, there’s no salvageable meat left on the doves. He always talks as if we’re on some sort of spec ops mission, but gets tired after walking in the sun for an hour. He failed admission into military school and his parents approached me to try to put in a good word for him. He’s a sweet kid, but just a little confused…

Nothing against the “Tacti-Cool” crowd (what they do with their money is none of my business). I’m a wierdo too in many ways, myself. But I genuinely find myself wondering: How would any of these young men fare if they actually found themselves in a dangerous situation ?

In my youth, I read Ruark, Bell etc. And got excited about hunting. I feel sad for youngsters today. Their sense of adventure is abused and they are shown nonsense like this and they believe that life is like a computer game. If only the youth of today were excited by real life and not fantasy. And it would be awesome to put the owner up against a charging buffalo with 8.6 blackout , maybe he would reconsider or maybe he will leap as high as that guy in the advert while escaping.

It's marketing, nothing more. Example of more idiocracy...how many of you remember this advert? These marketing geniuses have the bullets loaded backwards in the magazine. At the same time, does anyone have any doubt as to H&K's dedication to firearms? Absolutely not. Just means that sometimes there isn't always the proper oversight before sending something to print. BTW - I bet there are plenty of people signing up for "The Fix 8.6BLK" after seeing this ad because they don't know any better.

I saw a some moments of one of the hunt videos from SA with the 8,6 rifle , looks like it lacks some energy in the field there .

Yup, it's marketing, don't expect it to make sense. As an engineer I shudder to think about the amount of time in my career that I've spent reviewing marketing materials for technical accuracy, marking them up, reviewing them again, marking them up again, and on, and on. A lot of marketing folks are a different breed; it doesn't need to be right, it just needs to be shiny.

As far as the Q Fix, I'll pass. I have nothing against AR's and own quite a few but have found that for most hunting I don't like protruding pistol grips, magazines, etc. The Fix is more of the same but in a really ugly bolt action. I could see some practical use for the thing for hog or predator hunting.
