I just got a midway product arrival notification that these are available. I recently acquired a ZKK602 so I’m no longer in the market, but figured I’d pass it along here.

That’s encouraging!

Good to see! I’d like to pick one up for myself in the next two years or so, but I’ve heard very discouraging reviews out of the recently manufactured model 70’s.

Please elaborate. I’ve had a M70 .375 a few years ago, assembled in Portugal. It was quite nice.

375 Portugal very happy with it!

I was interested until I compared pricing. Seems Midway is quite a bit higher than most. I have time to wait but I want one!

I got mine with the production run 2 years ago. So far its a very solid rifle.

In April my local gun shop finally got the 416 Remington magnum Winchester mod 70 in that I ordered 2 1/2 years ago.

I handled a Portugal 416 Remington at our local gun shop last year and the fit and finish left a lot to be desired. I owned a BACO Utah model in 375 which I loved. Since sold it but somewhat regret the decision.

What I’ve heard, (Not seen in person) is that it’s very common with the new production M70’s to have rough muzzle crowns and rough machining marks. ‘23-current production is what I’m hearing.

I’ve seen it personally but only on stainless steel models in my experience.

I have one. I'm pleased with the fit and finish. It is very accurate with 300 grain Barnes as well.

Not arguing, just a data point. My 2018 model 70 is to my eye, flawless. Hopefully this run of them is well done.

Unfortunately, im in the middle of moving, so hopefully I can catch a .458 on the next run

Absolutely fantastic ! The Model 70 and the Ruger Hawkeye are two of the last remaining control round feed mass production rifles which offer large caliber chamberings for the sportsman of modest income. There’s technically one more- The Mauser Model 98 Magnum. But that one is significantly higher priced.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
