Anyone use a .257 Roberts for plainsgame in Africa???
Comments and thoughts?

For me, it seemed very much like a 7mm-08, or .275 Rigby but a tad smaller.

If you shoot it well, bring it and shoot PG up to Wildebeest or Lechwe.

I’ve taken PG with my .243 up to Roan. Using 80 Grain Barnes TTSX

No, but I did use one successfully on a small gong at 400 as the owner had worked out the holdover just prior to my shots.

Other than that the only constructive comment I can add is that my outfitters wife used a .25-06 on Kudu so I see no reason not to use a .25 cal on a variety of plains game using a suitable load.

Loaded with a 100gn TTSX to 3,200fps or a 110fn accubonds or a nice AFrame or similar you would aquit yourself quite well on most of the game short of eland, zebra and large kudu.

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
