Offering this on a couple forums before listing it on a gun sale site.
For your consideration,
Very nice condition Marlin Model 410 lever action shotgun chambered in .410.

Highly sought after by collectors these were only manufactured between 1929 - 1932, originally as a stockholder's promotional firearm. Marlin offered the Model 410 as a free gun with the purchase of four shares of Marlin preferred stocks at $25 per share.

This lever action shotgun is based on the Model 1893 action with a longer loading port, a modified tube magazine that holds 5 shots and a smoothbore barrel chambered for the .410 shot shell (I’m not certain of choke type). It has a smooth finger groove forearm and pistol grip stock with a Marlin buttplate.
Length of pull is 13 1/2 inches.

Condition is excellent with estimated 90% of original finish remaining with light wear. Bore is bright and clean. This Marlin was obviously well cared for since its manufacture. Would make a nice addition to an any collection!

These are hard to come by especially in this condition.

I’m asking $2250 shipped to your FFL dealer or if you’re close to Sheridan, AR 72150 I’m more than happy to arrange for you to pick it up.
I can only add limited pics on this post. I can share many more detailed pics with potential buyers, just message me if interested.

Amazing condition!

I have one. I think they were all full choke with 2 1/2 inch chambers. I've shot dove, barn pigeons and skeet with mine.

Pretty neat item to have considering only 5500 of these were produced from 1929-1932. I went through a spell of collecting old lever guns, primarily Marlin takedown models. I sold everything off except this .410 and I’m not parting ways with it.

You're in Sheridan, I'm just down the road in Cleveland County! Beautiful gun you've got!

Very cool gun. I’ve never seen one.

I must admit though I’m confused and likely misreading something- the OP is a sales add yet the above says you aren’t parting ways with it? Is it for sale?

It is for sale, it was a spelling error and it won’t let me edit the post.

The last sentence here should read “I am now parting ways with it” it was typo. The gun is for sale. Thanks.

That is a sweet little shotgun. That will make a collector a nice piece. I wish was the guy that could buy that and not use it to shoot varmints in my yard. Have a free bump for a really sweet shotgun.

Not begrudging the seller his price at all, but for that amount there a great many other guns that have my name on them, such as a Winchester Model 71 or a 99 in a harder to find caliber, or a BLR in .300 WM with a pistol grip.

As the seller no offense taken lol, I completely understand and agree with you. This is a collectors item and like most items it’ll suit a certain crowd or persons needs. I only offered it here to see if there was such a collector and allow them access at this at a discount. I could only find 2 of these currently listed both on Gunsinternational at $3000 & $3250 respectively. Mine, in my opinion looks to be in better condition than either of those listed. If I do not get any interest on here in a week or two I have an auction house wanting me to list it with them.

Yours looks fabulous sir. It is a very interesting gun, and were I in a different income bracket I would be interested. But I have a long-standing bucket list to attend to.

Ragman knows I love Marlins and levers - he does too. Good luck with yours, sincerely.

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
