I had one that I couldn't fully seat the primer and that was the slow one

That should work for most anything that needs shooting. I’d opt for the 450gr for Elephant, but I bet the 400 would work great on anything else.

I'd wager that the 400 grain CEB would work wonderfully on elephant

The first prototypes were .600 Nose Projection. 2cd Generation is .700 Nose Projection and is the
current listing at CEB.

I have found that CEB bullet is very accurate and easy to load. I used the first on on a cow buffalo and it was the only one found found after traveling completely thru the buffalo and found under the skin in the rump area. the other 2 were complete pass throughs. the picture of the bullet is on the CEB website. I hope to take a elephant in 2026 or 2027 with them.

The CEB website says they are backordered. Maybe they didn't make many.

The Cutting Edge website says they are backordered but they said they are now in stock so I bought 3 boxes. Thanks jwp475, I think these will solve a big problem for me.

How is the recoil of your 400 grain load compare to500 grains at factory velocity?

To me the recoil feels less than the 500gr bullets
