What did you reload today?

Loaded some 300 H&H ammo using Barnes TTSX 180 grs & Nosler Partition 180 grs bullets. They are so purdy. :ROFLMAO:

This week I've reloaded 150 458WM and 150 30-06. Last week it was 100 458WM and 75 22 Hornet.
Picked up 100 more 458 Hornady bullets for the 458WM 50 have already been loaded up for my Mark X that I picked up from the gunshop Tuesday.

Hopefully Sunday, tomorrow, and the rest of the week will be a good range days as time to departure is getting closer.

No loading today. Pulling down the loads I didn't use on my recent Africa cull hunt. Powder back in the bottle and bullets back in the box, primers used for foulers.

It was o beautiful day to reload , am geared up to load up some 375 ruger 235gr deer loads ( 74gr IMR 4064 , 235 hotcore +/- 2750fps )

Snow and rain here in New England—good day to reload.

Trimmed a bunch of 30-06, 9.3x62, 300 H&H brass and loaded some 300 H&H with 180 grain accubonds.

Also found time to put a new scope on the 9.3.

Tomorrow’s weather looks bad too—a good time to load up some ‘06 and 404 practice rounds.

Next week looks nice for some range time and finally, some fishing,

Echoing Atticus' New England weather woes (although its just cold and windy in CT today, no snow thankfully), I reloaded the following:

.38spl 148gr HBWC's for target plinking
.416 Rem Mag 400gr A-Frames for my safari partner for cape buffalo this fall
.375 H&H 300gr A-Frames for me for croc and hippo this fall
around 500 rounds of 1oz 12ga loads for an upcoming trap league
prepped 100 pieces of .30-378 Wby brass for another friend's new R8 barrel he just received (why, I've no idea.......)

All in all, a nice (warm) few days of work. I listened to a handful of podcasts and about a half of a Wilber Smith book (Assagai). My son spent some time whittling next to me while I supervised.

Only 40????;) ;)
Well, I already have about that many rounds loaded, so just needed to top off my stock. Actually, they’re not even for me. I’m taking my 375 for an 81 year old close friend to shoot on what will likely be his last African hunt. He’s going to hunt a buffalo, and also wants an eland & kudu. I’m only looking to shoot an old, broken non-trophy, non-export buffalo and I’ll be carrying my 416. We’re hunting 2x1 with Alan Vincent on Hammond for 10-days. The focus is entirely on making this hunt as good as possible for my friend.

I’m taking 30 rounds of 375 (1/2 TSX & 1/2 A Frames) for my friend, 20 rounds of 416 TSX & Bearclaws for me (I hope that’s enough for 1 animal ) and 10 rounds of 12 gauge TSS 2’s to see how they perform on whatever we experiment shooting, such as warthog and hopefully a hyena. The 12 gauge TSS loads are 2 3/4” 1 5/8 oz at 1,300 fps. Brice Hensley of Foxtrot ammo loaded them for us to try. He recently shot a 180-200 pound sow wild pig with that load at a measured 52 yards. The pig was broadside and dropped at the shot. IIRC, he told me that 41 pellets hit the pig and 38 exited. The 3 that didn’t were found under the offside hide after penetrating through the shoulder.

Should be a fun 10 days. I hope I’m bringing enough ammo. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
