A friend of mine has a 58 caliber Kodiak double that he is selling. He asked me to spread the word. Here is my delema.
I sold him the rifle a while back. He has tried everything to get this thing to shoot. I have watched him shoot 10 rounds without hitting paper at 50 yards. I thought I sold him a lemon. He hands me the rifle and i shoot it fine and both shots are on paper. Mind you, he is a good shot, except with this double. I tell him that shooting a double from a bench affects the point of impact. I lightly hold my hand on the rest and let the rifle do it's thing.
The gun was made by Trails Armory a while back. I think it is his method and not the gun. He wants $500 for the rifle

Correction: The Kodiak ML 58 cal double rifle was made by Pedersoli in Italy for Trail Guns Armory.

For those interested in this double rifle , or in fact any double rifle you must be aware that how you hold the rifle will positively or negatively effect regulation.

Double rifle only regulate properly when held in ones hands and not allowed to touch anything other than the shooters hands, face and shoulder. This allows the rifle recoil freely to let the muzzle flip to cause regulation. On the bench the rifle must not be rested directly on the sand bag but held by the forehand and resting the hand on the bag. the butt also should not be rested on a bag.

A search of my posts will describe this in detail several times over the months and years.

Thank you Dugaboy, it is an excellent tip, this will ensure me shooting the .72 Kodiak double more accurate..(y)

Thanks, this may explain the fairly lousy reviews of these over the years. I had a chance a buy a brand new 58cal for $700 a while back. Should of bought it...

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

Made it to Augusta Georgia yesterday for a meeting, hunt bookings are looking good for 2026 and 2027, had a great time on our Alabama safari shot a rutting deer at 200 yards with 7mm PRC near Huntsville and then headed on to Butler Alabama and semi guided my first deer ever shot a very nice broken off 8 point with hunter there and spend a few days on 1100 acres hunting preserve awesome place!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA
