For the last few months, I've been testing many different loads for my 89 in 577 that require fillers...including R15, N140, and Varget. While I got respectable regulation with many of them, I decided to continue testing some that fill the case and do not require a filler. I tried 144 grains of H4831sc and both impacts were perfectly horizontal and only about 2" apart. Then I tried 145 grains and got what looks to be my go-to full power load using Woodleigh 750 grain weldcores, average velocity was 2042 fps, this group (circled) was shot off sticks at 35 yards:

To top off a great Labor Day weekend, I seemed to have found a great practice load as well, this one is 75 grains of IMR-4198 with open cell foam taking up the space and an accurate molds 590 grain cast bullet, average velocity was 1761 fps, also shot from sticks at 35 yards:

After I finished up with the Heym 577, I took my new (to me) Browning B-S/S out for a round of clays. I found a partial box of Federal 1oz foster slugs at the bottom of my large box of reloaded target shells, and decided to give them a go out of the Browning at 25 yards, just to see if they would even be close. The following picture surprised me, pretty good regulation for a shotgun choked mod and full if you ask me! These two shots were taken offhand at 25 yards, the other holes are where the wads impacted:

Hey @frog stealer what primers did you use for the 577 NE loads?

Made it to Augusta Georgia yesterday for a meeting, hunt bookings are looking good for 2026 and 2027, had a great time on our Alabama safari shot a rutting deer at 200 yards with 7mm PRC near Huntsville and then headed on to Butler Alabama and semi guided my first deer ever shot a very nice broken off 8 point with hunter there and spend a few days on 1100 acres hunting preserve awesome place!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
