I agree am so tired of America's media bashing trophy hunting. We also need to educate our own hunters in the US that don't comprehend why someone would go hunting in Africa. Hunters can be there own worst enemy sometimes...

Kendra Jones, who is an accomplished hunter even at such a young age, is being savaged on social media sites for her safari photos. The traditional media piles on.
I'm disgusted by both the ignorance of these people and the political agenda they represent.

Some good news to report. Dave at Leopard's Valley Safaris somewhere along the line caught a FB page called the "Kendall Jones Hate Page". He posted on his own FB page a link to it. Many of us FBers started reporting this hate filled page to FB. It appears someone at FB had the good sense to remove it.

I met her and her father last week as we stood in the same gun lines and baggage claims in Johannesburg and ATL. We talked briefly but to me she seemed like any normal young lady.....just very lucky. Not throwing stones here but being a Dad I have to say.....

I hope she appreciates how fortunate she is and thanks her parents.

And yet they know not to mess with me! I put my deer, pheasant, turkey, etc pics as my profile pic. I think the problem is that the liberal media wants to use the hot button of "the endangered animals in Africa" to get free publicity and generate donations. If we ignore these kinds of things and just quietly support SCI, the NRA, Dallas Safari Club and any other pro-hunting and true conservation group I truly believe they will stop trying this. They have dedicated supporters, but they are few. We must not stoop to their level. I personally cursed those pictures too! They should be MY animals! 18 and already to Africa? Wish I was her brother.

I must say that I fully support any legal and ethical hunting in all its forms but the more I read about this the more it is starting to look like a publicity stunt to me.

I read in one article that she has her own manager and her goal is to have her own hunting show. Well I have to say that there is no better way in this day and age for a pretty young woman to get famous than to stir up controversy on the internet.

I still support her efforts 100% and I could be way off base but it's what I'm seeing.
