SSG Safaris PH Nixon Dzingai

These June-November 2009 hunts for a trophy bull elephant which is exportable to the USA by CITES permit. This area in Zimbabwe is well known for producing large trophy tusks over 50 pounds each. The Malipati Safari Area borders the Gona re Zhou National Park(interpreted "Home of Elephant"). I am the official USA contact for SSG Safaris. This will be a 12 day hunt INCLUDING the trophy fee for the elephant you take. Price of this offer is $18,500 including trophy fee. Regular price is $24,000. Other animals can be taken for trophy fee prices on this hunt.

SSG Safaris/Nixon Dzingai

Hey Folks, That happens to be me in the picture with the Elephant... Great Hunt...
Took place in Zimbabwe , Malapati with Nixon Dzinga / SSG Safaris 2 weeks ago... Nixon was great and so was his crew, the conditions were tough (a lot of rain , very thick) tracked and hunted very hard. This bunch of guys never gave up... and on the 8th day I was lucky enough to take my first Elephant...what a hunt... meat went to the village, they were so happy... this is a great HUNT, very good camp, excellent equipment, I highly recommend it... Butch

Butch, Congratulation on a fine Elephant and thank you for letting us know about your hunt in Zimbabwe.

I really like your forum, Thanks must go to dukxdog, he is the man that put my hunt together, 6 weeks ago, wasn't even planning a trip this year, Bobby is a great guy, and every word he spoke was the truth, after 5 African Safaris, to Tanzania, Mozambique, this was my 1st to Zimbabwe, no problems, beautiful country, wonderful safari area, great PH and crew... as I stated a very hard hunt, due to conditions, this was a real hunt, boy am I glad I decided to go!!!

Hi Joshlee0518 (please let me know if you are fine being addressed like that),

Thought I would drop you a PM. It is super exciting to plan a hunt and we are more than happy to assist you. Have you given any thought yet to which species you would like to take?

What do you hunt usually and which weapons/calibers are you using?

Look forward to swapping experiences and ideas.

Happy hunting - Daniel

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)
