Hello everyone I wanted a Sako brown bear in 416 rigby but they only had the 450 available so I bought it before they were all gone as they are no longer available..
if someone would like to make a trade or is in Ontario and is willing to sell there Sako brown bear in 416 it would be greatly appreciated

I would have to sell my 450 first in order to purchase your 416 if someone is interested in buying my 450 if it comes down to it that would be great .thanks !

You should not post any personal information online (like your phone number). Use the PM function.

I was looking for the same rifle recently and had several people reach out willing to sell one (all in the states though).

Not a fan of the 450 Rigby? It seems like a pretty unique cartridge.

Hey thanks
Ya that seems to be the only problem they are hard to find in Canada and shipment of firearms from the states to Canada can be very tricky and a pain in the ass so I hear .

I definitely like the 450 it’s amazing the power it delivers!
But I would love the 416 only for the advantage of shooting a bit farther and I could use it on a few more “smaller” big game animals that I have the ability to hunt more often so it could be a multi purpose rifle so to say …

Gotcha.

I would personally keep the 450 for collectors sake (guessing that will climb in value) and buy another rifle in 416 Rigby.

Prophet River currently has several 416 Rigby rifles in stock, not the Sako Brown Bear unfortunately.

Hi Joshlee0518 (please let me know if you are fine being addressed like that),

Thought I would drop you a PM. It is super exciting to plan a hunt and we are more than happy to assist you. Have you given any thought yet to which species you would like to take?

What do you hunt usually and which weapons/calibers are you using?

Look forward to swapping experiences and ideas.

Happy hunting - Daniel

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)
