I think this will be the best place to reach out based off my reading on here. I am looking for a project rifle to practice refinishing the stock and potentially re-blueing. I have recently found out from refinishing one of my pre-64 stocks that I enjoy the process and would like to keep doing it. If anybody has a rifle sitting in their safe that functions just fine but needs some love on the outside please let me know. Don’t really have much preference in caliber, just as long as it’s not something super obscure. Thanks.

I have a Husqvarna in 8x57 that fits that bill. Even has a scope on it. $650 shipped. If you're interested PM me a cell number and I will send you pictures. It's even pretty accurate with very old Norma factory ammo.

Hi Joshlee0518 (please let me know if you are fine being addressed like that),

Thought I would drop you a PM. It is super exciting to plan a hunt and we are more than happy to assist you. Have you given any thought yet to which species you would like to take?

What do you hunt usually and which weapons/calibers are you using?

Look forward to swapping experiences and ideas.

Happy hunting - Daniel

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)
