Had seen a few on GB and elsewhere, the made in Portugal thing didnt really set well at first. Read some reviews and most were pretty solid. I think a few members here have or had them and I didnt recall any real issues.
One common issue I read about was a stiff safety, but that seems like an easy fix. Rifle has a lot of good features.
GB prices are near $1500, and few and far between, so went "Windows" shopping,, LOL.
Found a better deal at Hinterland Outfitters on line, $1199 and cheap shipping. It now shows low stock so probably a few left. Nobody else on line that I could find had any at all, on backorder everywhere.
Looks like a pretty neat rifle all in all, this will make two and whichever one I like best will keep and sell the other, easy peasy.

Nice, which caliber did you get?

Nice choice!

Caliber has been a favorite of mine for some years. Gone thru quite a few of them. Right now have a Remington Classic .338 and been tinkering with it, floating the barrel, trigger, thinking about bedding.. but havent yet.
See how this 70 does, has features the Rem lacks, one inch more barrel, better pad, CRF etc. We shall see.....

That's a lot of rifle for $1200 Ses.

Great choice in cals too, well done.

Very nice rifle at a great price. My favorite cartridge too.

Thats good to hear.

I've got you surrounded. Bought two earlier this year. A 375HH and300WM. Love them both. Decent wood and iron sights, plus a nice deep blue. Both shoot very well with a variety of loads and the 375 seems a little softer on the shoulder than other 375s i've had, You will ne happy.

Hi Joshlee0518 (please let me know if you are fine being addressed like that),

Thought I would drop you a PM. It is super exciting to plan a hunt and we are more than happy to assist you. Have you given any thought yet to which species you would like to take?

What do you hunt usually and which weapons/calibers are you using?

Look forward to swapping experiences and ideas.

Happy hunting - Daniel

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)
