OMG this is my wife! Takes the damn thing everywhere! I swear, women don’t realize that they have saliva glands in front of and under their tongue! I asked her and she had no clue where her saliva glands are located!

In point of fact, that is not a Stanley Cup.

I cut wood, split it, load it in the truck, then throw it off the truck. No stacking at the stove.
You can sure make a lot more work out cutting wood if you want.

2 -when you split it
3 - when you load/carry it in
4 - when you burn it
5 - when you think about doing it again next year

You beat me to it, I was just about to share that tidbit of wisdom too.

Usually the conclusion is that this is why wood heating is the most efficient though

The real advantage of heating with wood is that you are in control.
That's why EU politicians hate firewood, they can't control or tax if.
Industrialy produced pellets are OK, it can be controlled, tracked&traced and taxed.

Their next focus for their hate is growing your own food, the campaign has already started.
