Scott, even with my aged eyes. I can shoot 1” with the peep sight.

I can’t do that with normal buckhorn irons. But this Lyman peep is easy to shoot well
 
Curious only but how is the floorplate released? I can't see anything inside the trigger guard. Nice looking rifle.
 
Yes, the same trigger guard release. But its profile is slimmed down

This is a compact, balanced little rifle 21 &1/4” barrel.

As you said Scott. It would be a perfect “stalking rifle” using only the peep sight.

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….
