Missed this before, lovely wood on that. I would get it bedded as it’s a big cartridge and factory stocked rifles rarely have good fitting inletting , and it will (should)have a loose recoil lug on the barrel that really needs to be bedded, I bed the action first, then the barrel lug, making...

12 gauge Paradox Gun-Is it Possible to even get supplies to shoot?

He’s a gunsmith by trade, he’ll make whatever you pay him for, when he gets to it, and that is part of the problem, he’s currently employed Monday to Friday by APRS/ Nightforce as their lead smith over here, he often doesn’t feel like working all weekend as well, I can but ask him. gumpy

Controlled round feed for Dangerous Game

Oh dear….did you mean "does"……I’m I going to have to get Theanimal to join this forum…. and as to PF not feeding, as said before, it will mostly be operator error in short stroking the bolt, not always, sometimes mag springs, sometimes dirty ammo jamming, stuff that happens to CRF as well gumpy

    QD sling swivels

I’ve not had any dealings with them, but my gunsmith friend has installed lots on custom rifles, mostly in composite stocks, these tend to be PRS or long range style firearms. I’ve not heard of them coming free, but as it’s a definite action to press in and release the swivel, I would assume...

Reinforcing stock wrist - anyone done this?

I’ve got a recoil pad very similar to that on my 308, I don’t mind it on mine but it is just a culling/hunting rifle. You can get clamp on barrel sling swivels, but they would not suit that rifle( I think they are ugly) so the only real way that I know of is a soldered on one which would involve...

Understanding The Phenomenon Of Jacket-Core Separation

I think that velocity at point of impact also plays a big part in bullet performance. Too fast and it can disintegrate on impact , too slow and it will fail to expand and /or penetrate. It’s possible that the necks have been "worked" ie: turned, as sizing down brass ( I know it’s not by much) tends to make the necks thicker by a bit. If you can get some more brass and form that, it may answer all the questions. Good luck with the process and keep us informed gumpy

Best torque wrench and cheap don’t go together, maybe should have said good. I use a moore&wright 1/4” deflecting beam wrench in in-pounds, like the starrett, they are not cheap, but are accurate and can be calibrated. 17.3 in-pounds of torque sounds like a conversion from newton metres to...
