Thoughts?

I have never elephant hunted.
I haven't even really watched much with elephants.
(I don't figure to ever have the funds to think about elephant)

I guess I am a bit confused? 4 shots under 5 seconds, as the elephant was trotting away? My first thought was Texas heart shot. :p  Clearly it worked but that didn't look like other elephant videos I have watched.

I am sure I will learn more as experienced folks weigh in. Maybe There Is an angle or perspective to this I don't understand.

I've never hunted elephant for FWIW, a Texas heart shot as first.....seems risky to say the least.

Just like they do on a fleeing elephant after a failed shot - break them down. In this case he did the hip and going by the PH nailed the shot and did well.

Not a texas heart shot, the goal was to break the hip to prevent escape.

Disclaimer - I’ve never hunted ele and personally wouldn’t be comfortable with doing that shot. But I don’t know the client and his degree of experience so aren’t judging his choice to do this. Who knows, maybe he’s hunted several ele? In the video it mentions that was his second of the trip.

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)

Forgive me if this is the incorrect area, I signed up to this forum just now because I wanted to be on the list to purchase a copy of your autobiography. Please feel free to pass my information along to whomever is selling. Thank you so much. I look forward to it!
I like the Tillie in my picture. They are supposed to fit loose (2 fingers inside hat band), have mesh for cooling, and hold their shape after washing.
