Posted a thread recently about a management buffalo bull hunt I had booked for September 2025 in the BVC with Dave Langerman.

Since then there has been alot of discussions back and forth with Dave plus me trying to figure out my work commitments. After a few months of this we have settled on a late season hunt this year in the BVC, first 2 weeks of November. Also have upgraded this hunt to a double management buffalo bull hunt with a 3rd bull on quota as a maybe depending on how we go with the first 2 bulls.

You only live once right?

I know it will be hot this time of year but for me that's normal, I live in the tropics of Australia where it's still 30 degrees and 90% humidity in late March at 8pm (actual temps while I'm writing this). Also going on Dave's recommendation we will now be hunting out of Fimbiri camp instead of Dyers camp.

I better start getting real familiar with this new Blaser Kilombero in 458 Lott and get it dialed in.

Anyone else hunted Zimbabwe late season, I'd love to hear your experience.

The buff have to have water and plenty os shade time.

Lo

September isn't so bad, you're used to the heat.
My bad luck was that the rainy season started 4-5 weeks earlier than normal.
There was water and food for the buffalo everywhere.
We drowned and the cold water flushed some nice little animals out of all their hiding places.
The entire programme of the poisonous snakes there
Wasn't in Bubye but in the opposite direction in Save.
Don't worry about September.

September 2025 was original booking, moved it to first 2 weeks of November 2024

I have been considering buffalo. What is considered a management buffalo? I’m assuming these are free range.

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….

I'd like to get some too.

My wife (a biologist, like me) had to have a melanoma removed from her arm last fall.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?
