Elegant way to iron sight a Rem 700 5r

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

I miss using irons.

My curent bread and butter rifle is a Stainless 18.5inch Rem 700 5r in 308.

With a McMillan HTG it fits nively but i am missing Irons or espaccialy peep sights.

Been always very happr with peep sigjts on my k98 scout, 1895 stumpy and Encore stumpy.

Curently i have a 2pc weaver style bases on the rifle and run a 6x42 Zeiss or Docter red dot on it.
It is threaded for a supressor. (posibility of scope needs to be for the future.
Would be oksy to changr the scope bases if necvesary for a nice mounting of a peep.

So far i am well set on a nice banded front sight (love the looks and rigidity) and searching for a sleek rear sight setup.



As we are somehow all have a good taste in rifles anf lines i am well interested in your suggestions.

Take a look at New England Custom Guns (NECG) . I have one of their offerings on several of my rifles.

The muzzle is 0,86 inches.
That should be somewhere i the ballpark of a safari contour barrel?
