Anyone have any good experience with an ebike for hunting? A landowner I know will allow me to use an ebike to access a hunting area, but no other motorized vehicle. It is a brutal long uphill pull of several miles to get to road's end. Hunting is from there on foot. At my age, I am too tired to hunt by the time I arrive. Looking to buy an ebike, for dirt road use, under $3K.............all the best for the upcoming season.....FWB

I have a friend who uses one for waterfowl hunting on a military post where vehicle traffic is only allowed by "authorized personnel" and he loves it. I'll hit him up in a little bit and report back. For now here is a good article for some initial research...

EDIT - He has a Rambo Nomad. A bit over your $3K price range but he says it's worth it. BTW - he's a big guy at 6'3" and 240# and gets an easy 20+ miles out of it with all his gear going up and down small hills (not mountain climbing) on 2-track roads.

I got an cheap Lectric XP 2.0 primarily for around town and am impressed. I dont think it would be a great choice for serious/continuous off-roading, but would do fine on dirt roads/decent trails. I get about 20 miles of range on pavement. They run about $1k.

Thanks, @BeeMaa ......that helped. @COSA that Lectric XP 2.0 is one that my son suggested, and I really like it, but I think it fits into his Florida lifestyle better than my Rocky Mtn requirements....lot of value for a low price though... thanx....FWB

Hi Joshlee0518 (please let me know if you are fine being addressed like that),

Thought I would drop you a PM. It is super exciting to plan a hunt and we are more than happy to assist you. Have you given any thought yet to which species you would like to take?

What do you hunt usually and which weapons/calibers are you using?

Look forward to swapping experiences and ideas.

Happy hunting - Daniel

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)
