Alternatives to wired transfers of money

Check with your outfitter and see if they accept credit cards.

My last outfitter has a US bank account to transfer fund to so it is a domestic fee that is charged for them, but they also accepted credit cards. But my first outfitter only accepted wire transfers but my bank had no problem doing it.
The outfitters I’ve dealt with always charge 3% on any credit cards, you can always take up to $10,000 out of the country without declaring it, I normally take around &5000 out of the country. My small bank in Baldwin co Alabama has gotten pretty good at the wire transfer, where in Alabama are you?

I've used

https://wise.com/

a bit - never had an issue. Much better value than banks.
I’ve used wise.com to pay for hunts, guns, cars, tuition to a number of places, including Japan, which can be complicated to get right. I’ve found it to be easy, reliable, traceable and inexpensive. No more waiting in the lobby while the local credit union to tries to figure it out….

I use US Bank and can wire transfer money right from their mobile app…

20 bucks for an international wire for me.

My bank charges $45
But every time they have issues and confusion. Sometimes have to go back the next day even.
I have used PayPal and venmo for some transactions.
They got super confused over the use of an IBAN as apposed to swift code this last time
Small local bank that does always get things sorted out and super helpful. I can get cash in the foreign currency at no change within 48 hours or less
i use my e*Trade brokerage account for all my hunts with wires with no problem. Given I have already set things up for first payments such as day rates or down payment I am assured that final payments should work

Hi, I am about twenty miles east of the loveliest village on the plain. I am just off I-85 two miles from Georgia Line. I use Regions in Auburn and surprisingly had difficulties. The bank employee that I dealt with today may be the only person there with a normal IQ. Very helpful and apparently was required to read a riot act regarding disclaimers about the wiring of money, this was done three times. He said that he had done three international wire transfers in the past year and I accounted for two of them. Was able to get it done in about 40 minutes.
That is about how much I take. If you really get checked it can create some awkward moments. I was stopped once in Istanbul annd questioned. It was a bit unsettling.

A few outfitters have US bank accounts that you can deposit a check into or do a simple ACH or Zelle payment into…

For example, @bos en dal banks with Chase bank..4700 branches and 17000 atm around the US… it’s pretty easy for most folks living near any metro area to just drive to the window at a local branch and pay for a hunt.. or mail a check to the US rep (me) and get it deposited for you..

wow I have a 40 acre farm in Pine Mountain GA just 12 miles from the GA/AL line right off I85. It is my shooting range for all my rifles

My small town bank has no problems with wire transfers. I do have to go in, give them info and sign papers. Then about 45 min later usually a lady who handles all wire transfers calls me to verify and it's done. Send to South Africa and Namibia both. I like the outfitters that have US bank accounts. I either take their rep cash or send a pic of check to PH via WhatsApp and it's done. At DSC booked a hunt for 2026 and was sent an invoice for deposit via Inter Africa. Two or three clicks later it allowed me to pay by credit card or PayPal. I hit PayPal link and done in less than 5 mins. I really liked paying like that. PH WhatsApp me about 3 hours later and said received.

My PH sent me links on multiple ways to pay. They have a U.S. bank account to transfer into.

Can use credit card, check, wire transfer

They had a link with an invoice that I used and transferred the money using my phone.

What is crazy about all this is us in (3rd world) south africa can do wire transfers from out laptop or even our phones
All the 5 big banks in south africa can sort wire transfers without us ever having to go into the bank

I use Wells Fargo and they also charge around $40 fee. But you can do wires through the Wells Fargo website for up to $50 thousand all by yourself for free.

For the last 2-3 decades I have been able to login to the banks self-service system over the net and make a SWIFT, SEPA etc. transfer to a bank account in another country, in a minute or two.

This is pretty standard across the world these days. The US being the one glaring exception.

If you want to not burden the recipient unduly, then your best line of approach would be to do whatever it takes to persuade a US bank to do the transfer, so the recipient receives the money through the channels that are normal for them.

PayPal and Wise are truly excellent options for international transfers. They both provide more convenient and affordable services than many traditional banks. I have used both of these services myself and was pleased with the results. This was when I started to become interested in rocketplay.com, I found https://ausscasinosanalyzer.com/casino-bonuses/rocketplay.com information about it. But I like Wise better, maybe it's because I've been using it longer. but it's really convenient. I connected it wherever payment or receipt of money is required.
This sounds quite logical, everyone should listen. How to convince an American bank?

Just tell them. No need to convince. You might have to physically go there to sign paperwork. Now, some credit unions do not support international transfers, but all major banks do. Regional banks use an intermediary major bank that has a Swift id.

I don’t really want to go to them, but apparently I have to.
