Oryx 58.5 gr 2000MR 50 yards. That's 5 bullets

Nab 250 with 55 gr 4895, 5 shots.

I only shot one string of the oryx. Probably could have gotten up to 62 gr of powder, but just not worth it, to me, to squeeze out a little more velocity when I'm already that accurate.

Left my chrony at home, I expect the oryx is around 2300, and nab is probably right at 2500

I’m not sure the extra velocity is needed and have noticed a very slight opening up of groups after 62.4 grains but not enough to make a difference it’s still just over an inch at 100 yards. For anything on this continent you launch one through I doubt they’d recognize the difference.

I meant to add....

I aimed for center with the Oryx bullets, they're about 1.5" high at 50, and close enough on the windage to suit my purposes.

However...
those Accubond 250s, my POA (after a couple strings) was the lower right corner. Just very weird to me that two different bullets could fly so differently, but consistently within their own groups.

Only tried 270’s as far as different weight goes. They are pretty close to same point of impact as the 286 Honrnadys which have just about the same impact as the 285 PPU’s. Best yet is the Hornady and the Barnes banded solids. Close enough to call it good.

Hi Joshlee0518 (please let me know if you are fine being addressed like that),

Thought I would drop you a PM. It is super exciting to plan a hunt and we are more than happy to assist you. Have you given any thought yet to which species you would like to take?

What do you hunt usually and which weapons/calibers are you using?

Look forward to swapping experiences and ideas.

Happy hunting - Daniel
