Hi guys,

Looking to see if anyone has loaded the 350 grain TTSX in the 416 Rigby. I know some guys have used the 300, 350, and 400 gr. TSX and Barnes evens offers the 400 grain TSX load as a stand alone loaded cartridge.

If anyone here has loaded the 350 TTSX, I'd be curious if you could share your results and thoughts on how if performed, whether by numbers & pictures from practice or in the field.

Thanks!

I'll be "working up" this exact load, as soon as I can get my hands on some bullets.

I'm staring at my 'cart' tempted to finalize the order but felt I needed the little extra push. Maybe I should take my own advice and just 'push' the submit button. Rather have them than not have them.

It's liberating, isn't it:D

I've got a pile of them, just haven't started playing with them yet

i dont have a 416 Rigby but i LOVE the 300gr Barnes in my 416 RM. my load pushes the 300gr TSX at 2650fps with excellent accuracy and has been used on a variety of game.

the 350gr TSX would be a fine expanding bullet in the 416 Rigby and would be suited for all game where an expanding bullet will be used.

This is a possible choice for a '18 trip for PG. Would like to get it hunted on some of the larger PG before it makes a return trip for some DG.

thanks for the input!

Rifle: CZ 550 416 Rigby- Barnes TSX, powder H4831SC, 104 grains, velocity 2,530 FPS average.

matching point of impact for Barnes Solids 350 grains, H4831SC 107 grains (max load per book). Velocity 2,525 FPS.
This load was used on both lion and Cape Buffalo. Bullets recovered from full frontal shots fired on Cape Buffalo. Penetration was 4’ with the solids.

Sorry for bringing this thread to life again.

Has anyone gathered experience with the .350 gr TTSX on DG already?

Those were the only bullets available for .416 in several different online shops here in Central Europe... so I just grabbed 100 of them, just to have any Barnes bullets at all for DG hunts...

Thanks in advance

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….

I'd like to get some too.

My wife (a biologist, like me) had to have a melanoma removed from her arm last fall.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?
