Depends on what area you are going to in Limpopo, some areas might be close enough to malaria area to warrant taking the meds as a precautionary measure if you say what area or who the outfitter is we can help/ suggest if its needed.

Giraffe hunting can be exceptionally difficult, with their periscope height and generally being herd animals it can be very challenging to stalk them. But it is a great hunt.
I use reloads for backing up on DG, cycle every reload a couple of times and shoot allot on the range. This gives you practice, familiarity with your rifle and peace of mind with your reloads...
Another thought is to use a big enough calibre that you are comfortable shooting in order to place your 1st shot accurately, the 1st shot is important..
Hi Zach welcome aboard, you at the right place to get info. If i can suggest looking at a post from Tally-Ho hunting safaris about shooting sticks so you can make or get yourself a pair and practice shooting off them as a start. Enjoy

Its the individual..... Zulu, Shangaan,Zimbabwean, Khoi and San, there are many underrated and excellant trackers and it is unfortunately a dying skill due to modernization and urbanization
Hi harpuaphish, thats a difficult one, it is better to meet your PH and Outfitter in person to see if you going to get on, but saying that most hunters get along just fine.... good luck and enjoy
Philip, that is a great question, bearing in mind that if done properly and ethically hunting in South Africa can be just as good as hunting in any other African country.
