Here it is on my M70 in 375. Even if you use a different mounting method, it’ll give you an idea on the proportions. The scope pretty much becomes a 1x red dot when cranked down.

Are 15s without the tripod won’t get looked through for very long. A quick look works just fine. They are a little too heavy and appear way more wobbly than 10s. You can have both at the truck/camp and do a day with only the 15s to see if you like it. I see a bunch of “spotters” with only...

Almost everyone I know with 15s straps the tripod to their pack and places the big binos inside their pack for longer hikes in and out. If I’m walking and glassing, I’ll just carry the tripod extended with the binos attached and stop every so often. Last fall, one of my buddies did buy the new...

You probably already know this, RL-15, cfe223 and Varget are all super close in burn rate. I’ve had the best luck with Varget out of that group. Super temp stable and lowest ES out of those.
