    Woodleigh update

Had a good chat with Geoff yesterday at our annual Woodleigh Shoot Big Game Rifle Club event. He said they basically began producing the largest calibres and worked down - have done most of the offerings in these and are currently getting on to .375 and then .338. I asked about .30 cal and he...

Yep ~ US$11,000 The AUD has been referred to as the South Pacific Peso :ROFLMAO: I guess the toy shop in question don't move enough product to get the SCI tent and the Land Rover. 'They' say their are 'thing' people and 'experience' people - I guess 'experience' people favour another safari...

These 312 particles are held together by forces called...

    Meat Recovery - NT

I'm not an NT local - but have hunted BCH a couple of times. Got meat out fine (and flew some of it back to Vic with me) last year. Backstraps from buff and scrubbers. We had 2 big, heavy duty eskies, that we kept shaded, and the block ice just held up for the 3 days we were there. We...

Meopta optics & hunting/shooting supply store??

I have quite few Meopta scopes - love them. Don't have an Optika 6 - but used a friends Optika 5, 2-10x 42 yesterday - very impressive glass, adjustable paralax/focus, crisp and postive clicks. Incredible value - I think he paid ~AU$500. The only thing I don't like on it is the ridiculously...

    Any other Cheese lovers here?

Yes. Visited King Island last year on the DC-3 that flies down from Melbourne - great trip - visted the cheese works there and did some sampling - all were great. Plenty of cheese consumed at our place ... most of it accompanied with a good quince paste. Been getting into a bit of this lately...

What Watch do you wear when you hunt?

Thanks @BeeMaa - I hadn't seen this vid of TB's. Some interesting choices (of guests and watches). Great to see two Vertex's, as one of the DIrty Dozen, make the list. I think JLC and Omega were the other DD makers represented. We should do an AH 'what watch did you wear most' at the end of...

    A Rigby morning stalk

    A Rigby morning stalk

Thanks @Red Leg - a bit of light reading for the viewers.(y) I rate those great retro 20's / 30's tumbers as my all time favourite purchase from K-mart. A Rigby morning stalk

A bit of a tounge in cheek 'report' of this mornings 'hunt'. A crisp autumn morning here today, bit of a stiff southerly. The very cozy fire had the lazy, excuse filled part of the brain suggesting a morning indoors reading or the like. Thankfully the primal hunting instinct prevailed and I...

Fellow club members, I had a few loaded rounds that I needed to pull. The green plastic kinetic hammer of Thor wasn't going to come close to accommodating the 500 Jeff. Have not bee able to find the RCBS .500 collet in stock anywhere. Stumbled across this solution.
